1. Summer Academy Registration Extended to April 24

DPS Summer Academy, is a program for students in grades 1-5 and is designed to boost academic achievement and strengthen students’ literacy and math skills in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. Registration has been extended to April 24! To register, visit Parent Portal.

2. Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 20–26

You probably already know that Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, but did you know that VOLUNTEER Appreciation Week is also coming up? Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 20–26. Join us in celebrating the impact of over 12,500 eligible volunteers who support our district-run schools! From mentoring students to supporting classrooms, our family, employee, and community volunteers help students feel seen, supported, and ready to thrive.

3. Roots of Resilience: Mental Health Day Conference for BIPOC High School Youth

Student Voice and Leadership's program of Young African American, Asian and Latine Leaders (YAAALL) is hosting an exciting mental health day conference on Thursday, May 1 from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m at the Emily Griffith Campus 14er. There will be crafts, workshops and keynote speakers. 4.   DPS and DSF Explore Auraria Campus

RSVP via the link in our shownotes to join DPS and Denver Scholarship Foundation for a family-focused event at the Auraria Campus on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Learn about key resources to support your student's college-going process. 

5.  Multilingual Families and Community Invited to the MLE DAC April 23 

Join the Multilingual Education District Advisory Committee (MLE DAC) on Wednesday, April 23 from 9-11 a.m., at the Lowry Conference Center. This month the MLE DAC will have district experts presenting information on Special Education, Gifted and Talented, plus other student support resources. Breakfast, childcare and interpretation will be provided. Pre-register through the link in our shownotes.
